Filipino Attitudes to Disability Scale (Fil-ADS(D)): Factor Structure Validation and an Assessment of Filipino Attitudes

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the cross-cultural validity of Filipino version Attitude Disability Scale Physical (Fil-ADS(D)) forms and describe Filipinos’ disability attitudes its correlations with sociodemographic factors. Methods: Personal general Fil-ADS(D) were distributed persons adult population, respectively, for self-administration. Confirmatory factor analysis was used assess Fil-ADS(D). score age, education, financial situation explored through Spearman rank correlation analysis; sex, employment, health status point-biserial analysis. Results: Factor structure original ADS retained in making it cross-culturally valid. The are valuable generating information improving attitudinal barriers comparisons. Positive among respondents significant yet weak age occupation found.
